Street artists transform building into a boombox
In 2010 an Argentine street artist named Sonni painted an abandoned Wynwood building to resemble a boombox.
But someone painted an advertisement over the two-story tall artwork.
So, in 2012, Miami street artist, Trek6, and San Francisco-based artist Chor Boogie, reimagined The Boombox Building with a different design -- shown in an earlier image in this online gallery.
A few years later the building -- by now a beloved local landmark -- was repainted again, in the version shown here.
In the background is a mural portrait of reggae star Bob Marley.
