Miami Beach lifeguard and Jetson-like lifeguard stand

A fit-looking Miami Beach lifeguard stands on a Post-Modern lifeguard station designed by architect William Lane and pop artist Kenny Scharf.

Their design takes Naurical Moderne elements -- such as the porthole windows and metal railings -- from Miami Beach's Art Deco past, and combines them with a spacey and playful Jetsons cartoon-like sensibility, as seen in the decorative antenna-like finial and the bright pink and yellow paint job.
