Info

A contmporary jetliner soars over a decorative tower on Miami Beach's Art Deco-style MacArthur Hotel, designed by architect T. Hunter Henderson in 1930.

The pastel color scheme on this South Beach landmark on Fifth Street was devised in the 1980s by preservation activist Leonard Horowitz, whose pastel vision for the then-decaying Tropical Deco architecture helped spark the revival of the entire neighborhood.
